Ngai Tak Kin is the Director of the organization, Midnight Blue. Registered in August 2006 as a non-profit organization, over the years Midnight Blue has been committed to developing a mutual support network for male and transgender sex workers. Our mission is to affirm sex work as work, defend the rights of sex workers, and promote gender and sexual equality. Midnight Blue provides health, emotional, legal and work supports to sex workers community. We also take part in volunteer training, public education and advocacy of policy. This year we published a “LGBTQ+ Media Reference Guide” for media in Hong Kong to facilitate them to be more LGBTQ+ friendly. (“Media Guide” online: https://bit.ly/38k0x78) Since the “Nth Room in Hong Kong” incident, Midnight Blue tries to provide support for LGBTQ+ victims of image-based sexual abuse. We also made a rapid response when a CRHK radio show “On a Clear Day” teased about victims. We will accumulate more experiences and keep supporting and accompanying LGBTQ+ victims.
