Sealing Cheng is an anthropologist who is interested in how sexuality is weaved into the social and moral fabric of society, as well as political and legal institutions. Sealing’s primary research field site used to be South Korea, where she conducted fieldwork around US military camp towns and red-light districts in South Korea. And now Sealing is currently doing research on asylum-seekers and refugees in Hong Kong while she is also teaching in the Department of Anthropology of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
